Gus Pelogia is the SEO Product Manager at Indeed. He joins me on this episode of Talks with SEOs (#TwSEOs) where we discuss the reality of marketing with SEO.
How valuable is an SEO strategy when it will not be executed?
The end-goal of SEO isn’t to do ‘good SEO’. It’s to improve a business’s website so it generates revenue. An SEO strategy, beautified with slides, doesn’t drive this goal forward if it will not be realised by the business.
Why should non-SEOs at a business give a damn about SEO when they are not SEOs? This is a complex question to solve because ‘non-SEOs’ – those that have the ability to impact the business’s website’s organic performance – are literally every single person that has a touch-point with the website.
The reality of marketing with the SEO channel is you MUST improve the internal operations – with a discipline that is still foreign to non-practitioners. And as improvement has no end, this internal goal is forever. Gus Pelogia, a client-side SEO, and I, discuss on this episode of Talks with SEOs (#TwSEOs).
